How Near2Ride works

For people who need transportation, and for people who have it.

For customers

  • 1. Tell us what you needPickup, date and time, passengers, luggage, accessibility, and how far you are willing to walk.
  • 2. We check what is actually eligibleAvailability, capacity, service area, driver and vehicle compatibility, verification and compliance — before anything is ranked.
  • 3. See options you can walk toThe real walking time to each pickup point, shown on a map.
  • 4. Request, and pay when the host acceptsThe provider price and the 5% fee are shown separately. Nothing is charged until the host accepts.
  • 5. Pick up, travel, return, reviewPickup instructions, condition photos at both ends, and a two-sided review afterwards.

For hosts

  • 1. Create a free accountIdentity, licence and insurance documents are submitted and reviewed.
  • 2. Add your vehicles and driversPhotos, capacity, service type and pickup method. A driver is authorised per vehicle.
  • 3. Set availability and service areaRecurring hours, blackout dates, turnaround buffers, and the geography you will serve.
  • 4. Set your own priceYou set it. Near2Ride adds 5% on top, shown separately to the customer.
  • 5. Accept requests and get paidPayouts follow completion. Requests nearby that nothing matched are shown to you as demand.
You are never told a match exists until a host has confirmed it.
If nothing matches, the request is kept as real demand, and the reason it matched nothing is given back to you rather than an empty page.
