No policy drafted by a lawyer has been published yet. While the site is in development, do not upload real identity or insurance documents. File upload to secure storage is not switched on for this deployment, and documents submitted as web links are only as private as the link.
What the platform holds
Your accountName, email address, and a phone number if you give one. The password is stored only as a hash — it cannot be read back, by us or anybody else.
Your documentsIdentity, licence and insurance documents are stored as a reference to a file, never as the numbers printed on them. An administrator reviews them and records the decision and who made it.
Your bookingsWhat you booked, when, from whom, what it cost, and every change of state with its reason. This is the record of the transaction and is kept.
Pickup locationsA vehicle’s exact address is held but released to a customer only after a booking is confirmed. Before that, everyone sees a coarse block label.
Payment detailsNone. No card number or bank account is ever stored by Near2Ride. When payments are connected, the processor holds them and the platform keeps only its reference.
